Social media volunteer

Companions Journeying Together is seeking a dynamic self-starter to assist with social media efforts in a virtual team setting. We are seeking an individual to volunteer from home to assist our organization in keeping supporters up to date about our organization and the topics of incarceration, parenting, reading, and literacy.

We envision this person sharing valuable content with social media community that is connected to our mission, developing graphics to enhance social media messages, and making recommendations to us on new ideas, directions, and tools for social media.

The ideal volunteer will have a firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space, notably Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. We also seek a volunteer who possesses excellent written oral communication and interpersonal skills and are self-motivated, possess good organizational skills, and are detail-oriented.

We are specifically seeking volunteers who have professional experience in any of the following areas: building a social media following; strategic marketing and messaging; activating a following/developing calls-to-action for fundraising.

We are seeking someone available at least 5-6 hours/week. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us.

(Please note that we are only able to recruit prospective volunteers that are located in the United States. In addition, we are unable to assist with obtaining or maintaining a United States visa, including an F-1/OPT visa. Because this opportunity is conducted remotely, we are also unable to offer community service hours verification for court, school, or scholarship purposes.)
