Digital Graphics Editor - Photo and/or Video

Internship (6 months) - 10 hrs/week. 240 hours. Join one of several visual interpretation projects. Learn the art of editing for a mission or cause. Practice your new skills while building The Archive.

Internship (1 year) - 5 hrs/week. 240 hours. An ultra part-time internship (see above for description).

Internship Time Period

TWELVE MONTHS POSITION: Position opens every quarter. Intern needs to commit a minimum of 5 hours each week. Minimum 12 months commitment

SIX MONTHS POSITION: Position opens every quarter. Intern needs to commit a minimum of 10 hours each week. Minimum 6 months commitment.

Type of help: Job Requirements: o Experience with storytelling/storyboarding is desirable o Experience working with a Mac o Experience with Video Editing softwares (eg. Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, iMovie, etc.) Job Duties: o Use existing footage from riveting interviews and b-roll o Intern may at times need to film additional b-roll footage o Weave together a 3 to 5-minute short film that captures a tale of survival o Fine-tune your editing and storytelling skills

What else ...: Internship Expectations : You will be taking part in a crucial and exciting process with the 1947 Partition Archive to disseminate valuable firsthand accounts of Partition with the larger public. Interns are expected to develop ownership of their projects and are encouraged to develop creative solutions. Intern will work closely with Archive staff and Director. Intern must have a strong passion for and dedication to our mission and goals. Interns will receive relevant training, fieldwork experience as well as guaranteed references for successfully completing their internship term. This internship is unpaid but interns may apply for credit or funding through their college or university. Successful interns, at the end of their tenure, may be considered for any paid positions that are available.
