Certified Counselor/ Therapists

We're looking for dedicated volunteers to join our team as Certified License Counseling and Therapist Volunteers for Returning Citizens. As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to provide valuable guidance and support to individuals who are transitioning back into the community. Responsibilities: - Conduct virtual counseling sessions with returning citizens who may be facing various challenges related to their reentry. - Offer empathetic and non-judgmental listening to help clients express their feelings and concerns. - Provide evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist clients in managing the emotional and psychological aspects of reintegration. - Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the best possible care for each client. - Maintain accurate and confidential records of each counseling session. Requirements: - Possession of a valid counseling or therapists license/certification. - Strong active listening and communication skills. - Empathy, compassion, and the ability to build rapport with individuals who have experienced incarceration. - Access to a secure and quiet environment for virtual counseling sessions. - Commitment to a certain number of volunteer hours per week/month.
