About Mentor A Promise:

Mentor A Promise is a non-profit organization, and our mission is to provide socio-emotional learning, academic support, and mentorship to students in temporary housing and facing housing instability. We partner with family temporary housing sites across New York, educational institutions, and community organizations to create a strong support network for young people experiencing homelessness, helping them overcome challenges and forge their own path to success. Position Overview:

As a PublicAdvocate, you will ensure positive family and child outcomes through strong family partnerships and community engagement.

Type of help: Key Responsibilities: · Lead the implementation of family engagement strategies that align with MAP programs and objectives · Provide support to families including referrals, moral support and coaching, accompaniment to appointments, and other forms of direct assistance · Foster effective and strategic community partnerships in order to meet the needs of families · Collect, analyze, and report on data related to family engagement and child outcomes to inform continuous improvement efforts. · Utilize data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement in family services and support
