Fundraising Program Manager

KeelWorks is a 501c3 charitiable foundation with a mission to get people to work - especially the economically disadvantaged. We have two active programs and one in development. The KeelWings program supports student trasition to employment. The KeelMate program helps the experienced transition from an unsustaining field to another. The KeelMaster program is our most ambitious project: it will get the most challenged unemployed to gainful employment. The KeelMaster program requires significant software development. We are looking for someone with an interest in a career in this area, and the time and intelligence to support this effort.

We are looking for someone with experience in this area who is retired or someone who wishes to advance from line work in fundraising to leadership in fundraising.

Type of help: We have a CRM for sending out newsletters, texting for donations, and classifying donors, we have a team developing a monthly newsletter, we are redesigning our website (currently ineffective), we have a database of supporters, we have the beginnings of a team. We have a small team supporting grant research/grant writing. We also have a team to develop strategy for fundraising. The volunteers we seek for this position have some experience in fundraising or have the time and interest to learn and take charge of this challenge. The incumbent will need the ability and interest in developing a program, leading others, designing process and process assets, and be ambitious enough to want to build a career in fundraising. This experience may end up leading to a paid position, if the incumbent can raise significant funds. I can also help this person qualify for paid work elsewhere. If this person performs well and raises sufficient funds, this will be the first paid employee at the foundation. All volunteers will work from home using Google Meet and Chat to collaborate. This person will supervise volunteers recruited for this effort.
