Support Seniors Affected by Fires through the GoldenTALK Chatline

The I Did Something Good Today Foundation is seeking compassionate volunteers to assist seniors affected by the recent fires through our senior chat line, GoldenTALK. This virtual opportunity allows you to provide much-needed emotional support to seniors during this challenging time.

About the Opportunity:
GoldenTALK is a senior chat line offering comfort, connection, and resources to older adults in need. As a volunteer, you’ll receive calls from seniors impacted by the fires and help provide them with the support and guidance they need.

Volunteer Requirements:
Access to a cell phone or computer to receive calls.
Located within the United States.
Availability to attend a virtual information session.
Participation in a 30-minute virtual training session for those who move forward.

Type of help: Key Details: • Flexible Schedule: No set shifts; volunteers can take calls at times that suit their availability. • Virtual Support: Work from anywhere in the U.S., providing help to seniors in need. • Comprehensive Training: All volunteers will receive training to ensure they’re equipped to provide compassionate and effective support. How to Get Started: 1. Attend a virtual information session to learn more about the opportunity and ask questions. 2. Complete a short training session if you decide to proceed as a volunteer.
