Start a new OneInMath chapter at your local library

Do you want to be a catalyst and have a long term impact on young kids so they can have a more confident future? Research shows that intervention at young age to build a strong foundation in Math has significant impact in the later years!

OneInMath volunteers develop valuable leadership, negotiation and management skills in a fun environment, and have the satisfaction of helping kids learn math.

You will be the responsible to start OneInMath program at your local library. You will work with the librarian to establish the program, actively recruit volunteers to tutor and K-3 students to teach with help of the librarians. You will supervise both tutors and students. You will ensure tutors are following the curriculum, tutoring effectively and diligently and ensure quality of teaching using the OneInMath curriculum and techniques. You will be responsible for communications with librarians, parents, and volunteers in a timely manner, responsibly, and in professional manner.

We provide complete logistics, training, course material, tracker, monitoring and guidance through out the session.

Type of help: RESPONSIBILITIES: • Reach out to local library to establish the tutoring program for young kids K-3. • Recruit/mentor tutors (high school students) to run the class efficiently. • Ensure high quality of math instruction and a positive environment for learning. • Diligent and prompt followups including replying to emails. • Ensure all program logistics is executed in a timely and proper manner including session setup, volunteer and student enrollment, training, assessments, and instructions. • Attend all classes. • Setup for next session. At OneInMath, we believe every kid should have a chance to succeed in Math! Come, be part of the movement to help kids from Kindergarten to 3rd grade to master basic arithmetic skills, so they are more successful in the future! Note 1: If you are not an adult, you must have active participation of your parent/guardian to start the OneInMath program at your local library. Note 2: This opportunity is marked as remote, as the OneInMath chapter can be started at any location within USA, however, this is not a volunteer program to operate online.

Wish List: REQUIREMENTS: • Must be at least 14 • Orientation or Training • 3-4 hours per week once a week for the duration of the session. Sessions run from January - April and September - November. • Love Math and Love Kids, and a desire to have an impact!
