Multiple volunteer opportunities

Our mission is to support low-income students of color by providing grants to start and complete college or vocational studies. We need passionate people who can help in the following areas:

Social Media Associate :
About You: You're a social media enthusiast who thrives on creating engaging content. You are comfortable working independently. You believe in the power of storytelling and using social media for good. You're comfortable interacting with diverse audiences online, including students, donors.

What You'll Do:

Assist the Social Media Manager
Develop engaging content for our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube) to
raise awareness about Adopt A Destiny's mission, vision, and ongoing campaigns.
Showcase the inspiring stories of our students and the impact of our programs.
Manage our social media calendars, schedule posts, and monitor performance metrics to track engagement. (Familiarity with scheduling platforms is a plus, but we can train!)
Respond promptly and professionally to comments and messages, fostering a positive online community.
Attend bi-weekly team meetings (remote) and participate in brainstorming sessions
(Optional) Attend events in the New York area (company will cover travel expenses).

Type of help: Content Creator(s) : Someone to gather user stories and other content for TikTok and YouTube. This person must be familiar with using both platforms. Fundraising Assistant: Reporting to the Manager of Fundraising and Development, we require an assistant who will act as a liaison, creating a 3-month fundraising strategy, managing outreach, acting as a liaison with donors, organizing fundraising events, managing donor platforms like GoFundme Marketing Associate : Create an overarching marketing strategy for the organization, incorporating all channel (social, fundraising, etc.) marketing initiatives. Design Lead : Design creatives for marketing and fundraising efforts, optimize the website layout, and design business cards, marketing materials, and giveaways. Branding & PR : Creation of brand guide and media kit. Refine the mission statement and sponsorship proposal. Represent the organization in the media by seeking placements via traditional media outlets. Writer : We require two writers to support the content manager. You will provide marketing and brand copy. These include site copy, blog posts, banners, and social media copy. You'll also assist by conducting interviews for feature stories and writing SEO titles and descriptions.

Availability: SKILLS: Brand Development & Messaging Interactive/Social Media/SEO Copy Writing / Copy Editing Donor Management Resource Development / Management Fundraising
Wish List: REQUIREMENTS: Driver's License Needed Must be at least 18 Orientation or Training 3 or 6 months with a minimum of 2 hours each week. No experience required for social media, content creators, and writers (though writer must have samples). For all other roles, we require at least 1 year experience.
