Unpaid Intern- Grant writer/ Developer for Youth Nonprofit

Position: Grant Writer/Fundraiser Volunteer (Hybrid)
Location: 495 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11225
Organization: Find Community Connection Project (FCCP)
Time Commitment: Minimum in-office availability of 8 hours per week (additional hours can be worked remotely).

Total commitment of 20-30 hours per week.

Duration: Minimum 6-month commitment

About Find Community Connection Project (FCCP):
FCCP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underserved youth in Brooklyn through professional development, financial literacy training, and mentorship. We aim to help young individuals become confident job seekers and active contributors to their communities.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Grant Writer/Fundraiser Volunteer to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role will primarily focus on identifying funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and assisting with fundraising initiatives to support the ongoing work of FCCP. The position is flexible, allowing for remote work, but occasional in-person meetings or events in Brooklyn, NY, may be required.

Type of help: Key Responsibilities: Research and identify potential grant opportunities aligned with FCCP’s mission and goals. Write and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of intent, and other relevant documents to foundations, corporations, and government entities. Collaborate with the Program Director and fundraising team to develop fundraising strategies and campaigns. Assist in creating and implementing fundraising events, both virtual and in-person, including outreach to potential donors and sponsors. Maintain accurate records of grant applications, reports, and communications with funders. Support the preparation of progress reports and financial documentation for funded grants. Help develop and manage donor relationships, including acknowledging contributions and providing updates on FCCP’s progress.
