Youth Council Member: APPLICATIONS OPEN

Youth Council Member: APPLICATIONS OPEN (Flexible Position, Remote)

Greetings! We are excited to announce that we are currently accepting applications for our upcoming program. We invite all youth aged 13-23 passionate about positively impacting their community to apply.

Currently, we have 55+ active members from 16 U.S. states and 6 countries! We are always looking to expand our initiatives and create a bigger impact!

Over the past seven years, Eco Brothers have successfully impacted over 65,000 Title 1 elementary school students in the Tampa Bay area by distributing over 225,000 books and raising over $150,000 for education, literacy, and the environment! Additionally, we have collected and distributed over 7,000 food units and 6,000 upcycled stuffed animals nationwide! Our founders have been recognized by many organizations, such as Coca-Cola, Civics Unplugged, Riley's Way Foundation, National Honor Society, National Beta Club, the Environmental Protection Agency, former FL Governor Rick Scott, former President Barack Obama, Hillsborough County Public Schools, the American Legion, Points of Light, NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Team, Heisman, the Congressional Award, the National Society of High School Scholars, Dr. Ben Carson Scholarship Foundation, Hershey, Karma for Cara, and many more! However, our focus has been primarily local, on solving local issues such as language barriers and book censorship. Now, we would love to expand our impact and engage volunteers from all around the world! With experience in non-profit building, college applications, and community involvement, we are ecstatic to guide those who apply for our Youth Council through one-on-one mentorship, networking with other council members, and various resources provided only to members!
We encourage you to take your time and thoughtfully answer all the questions to the best of your ability. This is your opportunity to showcase your unique skills, talents, and experiences that can contribute to the betterment of your community. Youth Council members will be given numerous opportunities to attend and organize events in their hometowns. If local to Tampa, members can also participate in local book distributions, beach and park cleanups, and other events organized by Eco Brothers! Our senior leaders will provide service hours, recommendation letters, and mentorship throughout your time as a Youth Council member.

Type of help: We will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis. If selected, you will receive an email notification and be prompted to submit additional materials for our social media pages and websites. This is a great chance to share your story and inspire others to join our cause. Additionally, excellent applicants might be asked to join our Youth Board, taking part in the mentorship and assistance our organization provides. These applicants will also be notified on a rolling basis. We look forward to hearing from you!
